Amer-Marie Woods is a 34-year-old South Carolina native turned Georgia peach who keeps it all the way real with no chaser. A graduate of Mercer University with a passion for biological science and service, Amer spent nearly a decade working in health care as a neurophysiologist before an unexpected job loss led the travel and adventure enthusiast to choose her wellness over the workforce, and redefine what it means to live. After surviving years of domestic violence, the travelista found solace and realignment in her journeys abroad, which empowered her to pursue a well-lived life on her terms. Currently, Amer is a travel and lifestyle writer for xoNecole who believes that “nowhere is too exotic, but everywhere is accessible,” and is 1/3 of the hosting trio of the xoNecole Happy Hour podcast. As well as getting ready to launch her own online travel lifestyle community the BE RIGHT BACK.
